600 Visa – Tourist Stream
This visa allows visiting as a tourist, to roam around Australia to see beautiful places, and to visit family and friends up to the duration of 12 months.
600 Visa Eligibility
Offshore – visitor Visa 600
Applicant must:
- Be outside Australia when applying for this visa
- Have the intention of coming to Australia for a purpose of visit only
- Have sufficient money to support the stay in Australia

- Have sufficient money to support the stay in Australia

Visa 600 – Approved Destination Status Stream
This visa allows the citizen of the People’s Republic of China to visit approved destinations in Australia on a tour that is organized by an approved travel agent for a granted time period.
Eligibility
Applicant must:
- Be a part of a tour to approved destinations of Australia organized by an approved travel agent
- Be the citizen of the People’s Republic of China
- Have the intention of coming to Australia for a purpose of visit only
- Have sufficient money to support the stay in Australia
- Meet health and character requirements
Visa 600 – Frequent Traveller Stream
This visa allows those citizens of the People’s Republic of China who travel to Australia often for the business or personal reasons to stay in Australia temporarily.

Applicant must:
- Hold a passport and be a citizen of the People’s Republic of China
- Have the intention of coming to Australia for a purpose of visit only
- Have sufficient money to support the stay in Australia
- Meet health and character requirements
Visa 600 – Business Visitor Stream
This visa allows visiting Australia temporarily for business reasons such as attending the conference, business meetings or negotiations etc.

- Have sufficient money to support the stay in Australia

What is Sponsored Family Visitor Visa 600 Checklist?
If you want to apply for a Family Sponsored Stream, you must have the complete documents. They include:
- National identity card
- Proof of change of name
- Sponsorship documents. Your sponsor must fill out Form 1149 – Application for sponsorship for Sponsored Family Visitors (329KB PDF).
- Documents related to military service or discharge, if applicable.
- Proof of your temporary stay in Australia, such as a letter from your company stating you plan to return to your job.
- Evidence that you can return home
- Proof of ownership of a house in your home country
How to Extend Visitor Visa 600 in Australia?
You can’t extend a visitor visa 600 in Australia. You can only stay for up to 12 months in Australia with a visa 600. If you want to stay longer in Australia, you will have to look for Australian visas that allow this.
You can apply for a new visa if your current visa doesn’t have a condition preventing further stay in Australia. As mentioned in Condition 8505 – No Further Stay, you cannot live in Australia if your visa has expired.
How to Apply Visitor Visa for Parents in Australia?
Applicants for the family sponsored stream can apply online for this visa. You’ve to follow some steps to apply for a Visitor Visa for parents. They include:
- Create or login to your ImmiAccount.
- Provide complete documents in your application. It also includes the sponsorship form of your sponsor.
- Pay the visa application charges. The Department of Home Affairs will not process your visa if you don’t pay the fee.
Is Visitor Visa a Substantive Visa?
Yes, a Visitor Visa 600 is a substantive visa. Any visa that is not a bridging, criminal justice, or enforcement visa would be considered a substantive visa.
