This visa allows the recent engineering graduates who have completed their degrees from the specified educational institutions to live, study and work in Australia for usually the duration of 18 months.

Washington Accord
Washington accord is an agreement between different countries to recognize or accredit the
engineering degrees of specific engineering institutions. Engineering qualifications recognized by different signatories are considered equally qualified by each signatory and do not need any further assessment.
Eligibility
Applicant must:
- Be under the age of 31
- Have completed one of the following higher qualification degrees in the past two years from the specified educational institution under Washington accord:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Master’s degree
- Doctoral degree
- Postgraduate diploma
- Have graduated in of the following engineering disciplines:
- Civil engineering
- Chemical engineering
- Environment engineering
- Electrical engineering
- Electronic engineering
- Structural engineering
- Mining and Material engineering
- Mechanical, Production and Plant engineering
- Have not previously held the subclass 476 or 485
- Have a passport from the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, New Zealand,
or the Republic of Ireland, or must prove English proficiency by giving one of the following tests to secure the required score:- IELTS
- TOEFL
- Cambridge Advanced English
- PTE Academic
- Occupational English Test
- Meet health and character requirement
