The Australian Government regularly updates applicants on its yearly final nomination allocation for the previous years. In the same manner, The final nomination allocation levels for South Australia for the calendar year 2022-2023 have been updated by the Australian government’s department of home affairs.
Final Nomination Allocation for 2022-2023
In accordance with this update, the final allocation of nominations for South Australia is as follows:
General Skilled Migration Program (Subclass 491 and Subclass 190): 8k places
Business Innovation and Investment Program (Subclass 188): 70 places.

Final Nomination Allocation for General Skilled Migration Program
All applicants for general skilled migration in all streams will continue to be nominated by the general skilled migration program for the final nomination allocation. This also applies to offshore applicants. In South Australia, there are numerous chances for qualified immigrants to receive state nominations.
Final Nomination Allocation for Business Innovation and Investment Program
In order to manage the limited final allocation of 70 nomination places, the following measures have been taken:
● Business Innovation stream (188A)
The intention to apply (ITA) process will be open for the duration of the 2022–23 program year up to January 31, 2023, at which point it will close. Very few 188A applicants who submitted an ITA in March 2023 will be contacted to submit an application for state nomination as part of the 188A procedure.
● Investor stream (188B)
The remaining program year will see this stream closed to new applicants.
● Significant Investor stream (188C)
The remaining program year will see this stream closed to new applicants.
● Entrepreneur stream (188E)
There are only a handful of spots available. Before being evaluated for the 188E stream, applicants must first get in touch with a Service Provider to learn more about their eligibility and options.
Nomination periods for subclass 888 state nominations and subclass 132 review nominations have not changed and will continue to be available until 26 June 2023.
