The NSW skill list has just been updated. In New South Wales (NSW), SkillSelect EOIs are invited and nominated at the level of ANZSCO unit groups. You have to meet some conditions to apply for NSW nomination. If you want to be eligible for NSW nomination, you must be skilled in an occupation that is part of an ANZSCO unit group. Moreover, your occupation must be eligible for the visa you’re applying for.
The ANZSCO unit groups do not cover all occupations eligible for the respective visa. Before you apply for a skills assessment, it’s your responsibility to verify your occupation. You must ensure that your occupation is eligible for the visa before you apply for a skills assessment.
NSW Skill List – Requirements for Minimum Points and Work Experience!
For the financial year 2022-23, NSW has set new criteria for new minimum points and years of skilled work experience. It is important that you meet both the minimum point score and the minimum years of work experience in the ANZSCO unit group for your occupation. As if you meet these requirements, you’ll be eligible to apply for NSW nomination.
As an example, applicants for the Finance Manager (occupation code 132211) position must have at least 110 points. If you want to qualify for the invitation round, you must have worked in an eligible skilled occupation for a minimum of 3 years.
