The Skilled Visa Nomination Program in Victoria for 2022-23 is open now. Victoria’s Skilled Migration program is open to eligible applicants who live in Victoria and offshore. Victoria’s Skilled Migration Program – 2 Visa Pathways!
The Skilled Migration program in Victoria provides 2 visa pathways. These pathways include:
The Skilled Nominated visa 190 is a permanent visa. Skilled migrants can apply for this visa to work and live in Victoria anywhere they want. The Skilled Work Regional Visa 491 is a provisional Visa. It is for those skilled migrants who want to live and work in regional Victoria.
Visa 491 also provides a pathway to permanent residency via the Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa 191. Just like in previous years, all applicants are required to submit a Registration of Interest (ROI). Later on, they will be selected to apply for visa nominations on the basis of merit.
In order to submit an ROI, applicants must show that they meet the eligibility criteria of subclass 190 and subclass 491. The Registration of Interest (ROI) will be reviewed until May 2023.
Not Selected in 2021-22? Here’s What You Need to Do!
The 2021-22 program was incredibly competitive. As there were more than 15,000 Registrations of Interest received in that program. In case you were unlucky to be selected to apply for 2021-22, you can submit a new registration of interest for the 2022-23 program.

Onshore and Offshore Applicants are Encouraged to Apply!
For all eligible occupations, Victoria will select applicants from overseas in addition to those living in Victoria. In addition to applicants who live in Victoria, those living offshore can also apply for subclass 491. However, Victoria is currently giving priority to health occupations for 491 visas.

Skilled Visa Nominations are now open in Victoria for the 2022-23 program. People living onshore and offshore can apply for a Skilled Migration Program in Victoria. Most importantly, people who were not selected for the 2021-22 program are now being encouraged to apply for the 2022-23 program in Victoria.
