WA State Nomination Requirement for Applicants 2022-23 – Big Changes in GOL

Good news for people living overseas. Western Australia State nomination 2022-23 program is starting. People living overseas can apply for WA State nomination now. A ranking system will determine who’ll be invited to apply for the WA State nomination.

 

Residents of Western Australia will be given preference, followed by residents of Australia, and finally those living overseas. Under the Graduate stream, the State nomination 2022-23 program will offer more expanded, improved and a more extensive list of Graduate occupations to applicants. More than 300 new occupations are now available in the Graduate Occupations List.

Expanded Graduate Occupation List WA State Nomination

The expanded Graduate occupation list will be available in 2022-23. You can find the new 2022-23 Western Australia State nomination combined occupation list below.

 

Invitations for WA State nomination applications will not start until the 2022-23 program year under the new Graduate Occupation List. There’re now 331 occupations on the Graduate Occupation List (GOL). 

 

Important Note on WA State Nomination General Stream Schedule 1 

Only candidates with the specialization of Medical Physicist are eligible to apply for the Western Australian State nomination General stream schedule 1. Your application must contain any evidence relating to this specialization. Furthermore, closely related occupations will not be considered.

 

Applicants with the specialization of Medical Physicist can apply for the WA State nomination General stream schedule 1.  

 

WA State Nomination General Stream Schedule 2

For the WA State nomination General stream schedule 2, only applicants who’ve specialization in Mental Health are eligible to apply. If you include any evidence in your application, it must relate to your specialization. Closely related occupations will not be considerable.

 

Candidates with the specialization of Harbour Master are eligible for WA State nomination General stream schedule 2.

English Language Requirements for WA State Nomination General Stream Schedule 1 & 2

The Department of Home Affairs has set certain requirements to evaluate the English language skills of applicants. You must meet this criterion to apply for the Western Australian State nomination.

 

Passport holders of the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, the United States of America, or Ireland don’t need to take the English test. 

 

Evidence Sufficient Settlement Funds

You must have enough funds to cover your settlement costs and living expenses for at least 3 months if you don’t live in Western Australia (WA).

 

Funds must be deposited in the following amounts:

  • $20,000 (AUD) for a single person
  • $30,000 (AUD) for a couple
  • $5,000 (AUD) for every additional dependent

 

The evidence of funds can be provided by bank statements or asset valuations.

 

Final Thoughts!

Western Australia is going to open applications for onshore and offshore people from July 2022. According to new policies, the Western Australia State nomination 2022-23 program will be based on a ranking system. People living in WA will be prioritized, followed by Australian residents and then those living offshore.
