  • Character documents if you’re above 16 years of age. You must prove that you’ve applied for an Australian Federal Police check within the last 12 months before applying for visa 485.

Your non-English documents must be translated into English. The translators for your documents must be accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters. However, translators outside Australia aren’t required to be accredited.

Can I Extend my 485 Visa?

No, you can’t get 485 Visa Extension after its expiry date. It’s not possible to stay longer in Australia by extending this visa.
