The National Cabinet had a meeting on the 30th of July 2021 to discuss the recent outbreaks of the Covid-19 Pandemic in the country, Australia’s Covid-19 response and the national plan to transition Australia’s national covid-19 response. Situation of Covid-19 Cases
The Covid-19 cases continue to rise in many other countries as well as in Australia. If we talk about the number of Covid-19 cases on globally so, we’ll come to know that there’re approximately 196.5 million cases reported. Unfortunately, 4.1 million people couldn’t survive.
The testing for Covid-19 has been increased in all Australian states due to the outbreak of Delta Variant. There’re more than 1,209,935 million tests that have been undertaken within the last 7 days. Furthermore, there’re around 660,253 new cases and 11,538 deaths reported in Australia within the last 24 hours.
Roll Out of Covid-19 Vaccine in Australia
The Government of Australia has expanded the roll out of the Covid-19 vaccine in all Australian states due to the rising cases. It’s directed by Commonwealth Treasury economic impact analysis of COVID-19 transitions and the Secretary of the Commonwealth Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, Mr. Phil Gaetjens.

The sub-group of the National Cabinet which consists of Tasmania, Victoria and the Northern Territory will plan strategies that how they can ease the Covid-19 restrictions for vaccinated people in Australia in Phase B.
Phase A. (Vaccinate, Prepare and Pilot)
Australia will implement measures to control the transmission of Coronavirus in the community. These measures also include the increase in vaccination rates in Australia, short lockdowns in case if the situation gets worst and closure of all borders to keep the infected people out of the country.
Phase B. Vaccination Transition Phase (70% of Adult Population Fully Vaccinated)
In the measures of Phase B of the National Plan, Australia will keep the vaccination rate high, minimize the Covid-19 cases in Australian states with lockdowns and by effective track and trace. Australia will also seek measures to lessen the cases of serious illness, fatalities and hospitalizations with the help of low-level restrictions for Covid-19.
Phase C. Vaccination Consolidation Phase (≥80% of Adult Population Fully Vaccinated)
Australia will use measures to reduce the cases for Covid-19, hospitalizations and fatalities as a result of Covid-19 with baseline restrictions. Measures for Phase C will include more coverage of vaccination in Australia, lesser baseline restrictions to minimize the Covid-19 cases without highly targeted lockdowns.
Phase D. (Post Vaccination Phase)
