Trans Tasman bubble and Changes to Visa Conditions 2021

The migration department of Australia has amended the Trans Tasman bubble advice to confirm the removal of travel restrictions for New Zealand. Visa holders are allowed to travel to NZ and come back to Australia without getting any travel exemption. Travelers will need to get ready at short notice for possible disruption to travel arrangements to follow necessary protocols before, during and after the travel.

 

Australia and New Zealand return to quarantine-free travel

Australian visa holders visited New Zealand on Monday without the need to quarantine for the first time in over a year according to agencies reported. The “Trans Tasman bubble changes” allow Australian and New Zealand passengers to visit each other’s country without any travel restrictions. These two nations’ governments imposed heavy traveling restrictions on entry into their respective country in March 2020 due to the coronavirus crisis.

New Zealand Prime Minister said, “It is really amazing to start quarantine-free travel with Australia. Be it returning family, friends or holidaymakers, New Zealand says welcome and enjoys yourself,”

Visa holders welcome Pacific bubble

After new possibilities for travel, hundreds of people are gathering in Australian airports in preparation for their newly unrestricted flights to New Zealand, local television showed.

 

“It is the first time after high coronavirus pandemic in 400 days that people traveled quarantine-free and adding 16 return flights a day to New Zealand, and they are full,” Qantas Chief Executive told the Australian Broadcasting Corp.

 

The two prime ministers warned the passengers that changes to the arrangement could be made at short notice in case of new COVID-19 outbreaks and the program would be under “constant review.

Important Legislative Changes to discretionary Bridging visa conditions

Legislative Instrument of migration amendment (Bridging Visa Conditions) Regulations 2021-F2021L00444 amends the visa conditions. The Minister may have the right to impose the conditions on Bridging Visas to manage unlawful non-citizens being considered for release from immigration detention.

 

The following discretionary visa conditions will be available to be attached to the specified Bridging Visas:

Subclass 070

8505 – The visa holder must continue to stay at the address specified before getting the visa by the holder.

8506* – The visa holder needs to notify of the change of his address within two days in advance of the change, note this condition has been made discretionary where it was previously mandatory.

8546 – The visa holder should not be engaged in criminal conduct.

8578 – Holder must notify change of address, email, Passport, Phone buy cialis Australia number, address of employer and location of employment within 2 weeks.

8566* – In case if visa holder has signed a code of behavior, this must not be breached this condition was previously attached only to SC 050 visas.

Subclass 050

8303 – The holder should not be involved in any disruptive, threatening or violent behavior towards the Australian community or group within the country.

8514 – The visa holder must avoid material changes of circumstances to the basis of the grant.

8550 – He must notify of change of personal details like name, address, phone number, email address, online profile or user name not less than 2 days before the changes occur

8551 – Holder should be obtained the Minister’s approval to engage employer or occupations that involve chemicals security concern (as specified), in the aviation or maritime industries, handling security-sensitive biological agents.

8552 – He must notify of change of employment details not less than two days before changing

8553 – Holder should not be involved in activities prejudicial to security as specified in the ASIO Act 1979.

8554 – The visa holder must not acquire weapons, explosives, information related to the use of these.

8556 – He must be obtained Minister’s approval to undertake activities related to flight training or flying aircraft.

8556 – The visa holder must not communicate or associate with entities listed in the Charter of the United Nations Act 1945 or an organization prescribed as a terrorist organization in the Criminal Code Act 1995.

8560 – This subclass visa holder must obtain Ministers’ approval before acquiring chemicals of security concern (these chemicals used in pools and spas and that could be diverted for unlawful use).

8562 – Holder must not take up employment that involves the use or access to weapons or explosives or similar.

8563 – He must not take up activities that involve the use or access to, or training with or possessing weapons, explosives or similar.

8578 – Holder needs to notify within 2 weeks of changes of address, email, phone number, email passport address of employer or employment.

 

This Instrument started on 16 April 2021. The details regarding the legislative updates are cover in a better way. Changes conditions are required for a few subclass visas highlight above. New Zealand and Australia both countries open their border for their citizens to visit without any traveling restrictions and quarantine.
