- Should at least be a graduate from an Australian institution
- Must show the work experience in the nominated occupation
- Should be English proficient
- One must provide an employment contract
- Must satisfy the minimum requirement for Australian studies
The process of gaining state nomination:
The process to attain a state nomination is as follow:
- One should submit an EOI that is an expression of interest to the home affair department. The requirements of the department of the home affair are:

- Score at least 65 in the test of home affair department
- Have skill assessed from an authentic skill assessing authority
- Should belong to the skill present in the occupation list corresponding to your visa subclass
- Age of the applicant must be under 45
- Have to select your preferred state in Australia.
- Should be English proficient.

- If you are successful to get an invitation a state nomination form will be emailed to you. You will have 28 days to complete this form. This is actually to evaluate your knowledge about Australia and the Australian state you are applying visa for.
