Subclass 190 – Skilled Nominated Visa

Every State or Territory Government publishes a list of occupation in which workers of different skills are required. This is the State Nominated visa that invites the nominated skilled workers to live and work in Australia permanently.

Processing Time for Skilled Nominated Visa – Subclass 190: 7 – 9 Months

Process

Applicant must go through the following process:

Firstly, check the eligibility to apply for Subclass 190 by selecting the relevant occupation from the skilled occupation list. Secondly, get a positive skill assessment. Thirdly, calculate the points of interest in SkillSelect
Submit the EOI if points of Interest are at least 65
EOI of applicants is visible to state and territory governments and in case of shortage of skills, state or territory government nominate the applicants in the SkillSelect
Get the invitation to apply if nominated by the state or territory government
Apply within 60 days of invitation

Eligibility

Applicant must have:

Age less than 45 year
An occupation listed on the relevant Skilled Occupations list
Positive skill assessment from the relevant assessing authority
Scored at least 65 points on the points test
Invitation to apply for the visa
Meet health and character requirements
Competent English language
