The concept of Engineering Program was given by Engineering Education Australia. This one year program is specifically designed to enable international engineering graduates to work with their fullest potential in the professional world.
This 44 weeks program is designed for international engineering graduates to furth7er enhance their skills and to make them familiar with the Australian workplace environment and culture.
Of the total 44 weeks, 32 are reserved for coursework during which the graduates enhance their understanding of the subject and learn other important skills such as written and oral communication. The remaining 12 weeks are reserved for the internship during which the graduates experience the workplace environment of Australia and become employment-ready beforehand. The successful completion of the program gets the applicants five valuable immigration points.
The professional year for international accounting graduates is designed by three institutes namely Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA), Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) and Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) Australia. The program was previously known as SMIPA.
The accounting program is carefully designed for international accounting graduates to learn new skills and enhance the already acquired ones. The 44 weeks program is divided into 12 weeks of internship and 32 weeks of course work. Successful completion of the program earns five valuable immigration points for the applicants.
Requirements to Apply
- The applicant should be an international graduate with a bachelor degree of either Engineering, IT or accounting from an Australian University.
- IELTS score of overall 6 bands, which is the criterion for the temporary graduate visa subclass (485)
- In the case of the accounting program, the applicant must score 6 bands in each module to be able to acquire the subclass 485 visa.
